JEDDAH: Independence Cricket Club lifted the second Jeddah Champions Trophy tennis ball cricket title when they scored a comfortable 60-run win over Azizia Deccan in the final played here recently.

Both teams registered convincing wins in the semis. But when it mattered most ICC proved the better team as they showed excellent skills which they were rewarded.

After being sent into bat, ICC were off to a brisk start as they scored 47 runs after the first six overs. However, the Azizia Deccan bowlers came back strongly and restricted their rivals to 104 for 3 in the allotted 15 overs.

In reply Azizia Deccan crumbled for 43 runs inside 13 overs as none of their batsman could sustain the pressure built by ICC bowlers led Waseemuddin who finished 4 for 10.
