JM Derby captured its first Team of the Week award that Obie Ycasas turned into a double when he won the men’s Bowler of the Week accolade during the eighth session in the FTBJ-ICBL Novarino Inter-Company Bowling League 32nd Conference at Jeddah Lanes here.

JM ended the session with the top tally of 34 points.

Previous week honoree Cristal Global had another strong performance compiling 29 points in a tie with Sky Freight-TFC, as it dislodged Alanson at first place in the team standings.

Alanson was out of sorts on the day to be on 21 points in the company of Lance & 3rdy and right behind Jem Strikers who had 28 points.

Hidada Ltd. was among the four teams that failed to cross 20 points on 18 with Jeddah Lanes on 17, D’ Barkads 13 and Falcon 10.

After a slow start JM poured it on to finish the last two games at 2-1 and it also posted the top overall output of 2,927 for another first-place points of 10.

Ycasas shot the high series of 646 on lines of 186, 230 and 206 to preside JM’s onslaught that also netted 604 from Nap Patayan, 581 from Susan Patayan, 500 from May Lourdes, 192-175 from Jay Bengco and 195 from Roger Daquioag.

The big games at Cristal came from Bonie Garcia 609 and the ladies pair of Ester Jalata 556 and Merlen Pamintuan 550.

Team manager Emy De Guzman was surprisingly the one that carried Sky Freight with a well-crafted 624 (201, 190, 170). With two games each were Oca Bernabe 208-184, Rene Santiago 189-172 and James Galvan 156-178. Ellen Bernabe had 582 and Babes Tiongson 518.

Jem Strikers had Efren San Pedro at the forefront on 644. The trio of Jess Pineda, Jeff San Pedro and Tommy De Castro supported Efren with two games of 189-202, 202-188 and 171-213. Alma Bacero an Charie Guzman added 521 and 516.

Lance contributed the ladies Bowler of the Week in Evelyn Santoc who shot 637 that went with the 577 by Shirley Sagmit, 557 by Edris Mangoda, 541 by Ding Dela Rosa and 507 by Ric Reformado.

Majid Aslani and Igna Salgado fired solid rounds of 629 and 589 at Alanson but Bob Stone was let down by the two games that stayed in a 521 series. From the distaff side, Marie Gumpal had 564 and Jeanette Cerbito 526.
