Kapit-Bisig enjoyed a double celebration, capturing the Team of the Week title and the Bowler of the Week plum courtesy of Amboy James Boyd during the 19th session in the Almarai-FBGR Saturday Bowling League at Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
In a big night for Kapit-Bisig the team took down the high ranking Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia Jr. 22-13 to emerge as the best of the night.
Boyd was at the helm of the Kapit-Bisig charge as he shot the high series of 949 points on lines of 217, 212, 276 and 241. Splendid support came from another Amboy, Shawn Ricketts, who rolled 864 and Omar Valdez 755. Joe Rafael added 617, Zaldy Torres 601 and Clem Ojeda 401.
Leading Proshop Strikers were the trio of Vic Barrazona 864, Ruel Toledo 858 and Manny Lebrilla 828. Urrutia added 781 and Ed Cruz 738 points.
The match between Carry Over and Exodus ended in a 2-2 draw at 19-15. Leading scorer for Carry Over were Abdullah Amoudi on 854 followe dby Nap Torres 851, Celis Viloria 828, Bembol Velasco 824 and Dennis Gabriel 785 points.
The losing team Exodus was bannered by Joel Lambo 891, Benny Mondoy 845, Edgar Buenaventura 813 and Mar Queyquep 800. Rizal Dellosa contributed 412 and Jojo Miraflor made 345.
Sebo Boys of Koko Torres upset defending champion Eraserheads of Armin Isles 20-14. Koko Torres was chief engineer of the Eraserheads debacle by carding 872. Throwing support for Torres were Dawood Sereno 861, Glenn Dela Cruz 765, Sam Alinsod 636, Renier Torres 610 and Angel Caasi 383.
Andro Tismo 868 and Jojo Gabriel 853 led Eraserheads with Ronald Bautista on 756 Isles on 726, Ernee Noto on 652 and Joe Garrido 411
In another 2-2 match, Expendibles mentored by Hani Al-Nasleh edged RG512 for Clothes piloted by Yasser Mohamed 16-12.
Hani Nasleh top-scored with 852 and got help from Jett Cabana 849, Abdulaziz Fahti 830, Fahd Al-Haza 738 and Jerry Austria 714.
For the losing team, top scorer was Mike Ecalnir 806. Ahmad Al-Qarquosh had 796, Rasheed Rasheidan 758, Yasser Mohamed 747 while Rocky Manipon added 394 and Thong Asuncion 337.
In other matches, Almarai Co. mentored by Emerson Mitra walloped Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed 19-9, Alsalam Knights of Bandar Al-Marshad defeated Nadec Strokers mentored by Lope Ramirez 18-9, while SABB Tenpin Wizards won by default Alfanar Team 15-0.
