RIYADH: King Faisal Specialist Hospital (Blues) and Pak Shaheen emerged champions in their respective Divisions of the Twenty20 MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah finals when they beat Champions Kricket Klub and Amir Holidays, in Riyadh Cricket Association organized tourney, held under the auspices of the Saudi Cricket Center, here.

KFSH eased past CKK by 34 runs while Pak Shaheen won a one-wicket thriller against Amir Holidays.

In the President Division final, KFSH Blues won the toss and elected to bat. Openers Nasir Abbasi (19) and Ayaz Mohammed (34) started briskly, but then got out in quick succession. After the loss of the openers, the momentum was carried on by Irshad Mubashir (36), Qaiser Hussain (34) and Saqib Saleem (24). Later, Imtiaz Ahmed’s quick fire 59, which included 5 sixes took KFSH Blues total to 228 for 6 in the stipulated 20 overs. For CKK, Nadeem Asghar and Nouman Asghar bowled well and bagged two wickets each. Ali Shahid picked one wicket.

Chasing a formidable target, CKK started disastrously and lost their first wicket of the first ball of the innings. After the early loss, Raja Gulraiz’s pace troubled CKK’s top order and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Najeeb Asghar showed some resistance in the middle order and scored a classy 82. Imran Kifayat and Hisham Sheikh also played well and added 24 each, but could not save their team from defeat. CKK in the end managed 194 for 7. Raja Gulraiz and Irshad Mubashir picked 2 wickets each while Syed Usman and Khurram Baig got a wicket each.

Man-of-the-Match: Imtiaz Ahmed

In the Chairman Division final, Amir Holidays elected to bat first and put up 212 for 6. Sami Arshad played a blistering knock of 71 off 35 balls. He was ably supported by Kamran Hadi (29), Umair Sheikh (28) and Nadeem Bhatti (21). Ibrar-Ul-Haq was the pick of the bowlers who took 3 for 40. Abuzar, Abdulwahab and Abdulwaheed took a wicket each.

Chasing the target, Pak Shaheen started briskly with Ibrar Ul Haq who scored 69 off 28 balls including six sixes. After the dismissal of Ibrar, Pak Shaheen lost their way by losing some quick wickets. However, Yassir (42) and Qadir (23) took Pak Shaheen close to their target. Abuzar hit a decisive boundary on the fifth ball of the last over to take Pak Shaheen to victory. Kamran Hadi bowled well and grabbed 2 wickets. Arsalan, Imran, Nadeem and Samiullah took a wicket each.

Man-of-the-Match: Ibrar-Ul-Haq
