RIYADH: Kingdom Equestrian Team owned by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), won first place courtesy of Animo during the Crown Prince Cup Arabian Horse Festival.

Ridden by jockey Rashid Alkatheer Animo took top honors in the 120 km endurance clocking a speed rate of 23.38 in all five stages of the event held in Alras Province of Al-Qassim.

Col. Khalid Aledeiani, Committee Chairman of the Saudi Equestrian Federation, presented the prizes.

He also thanked the organizers and supporters for making this event successful.

Alkatheer and coach Najeeb Al-Nasser, supervisor of the private stables, dedicated this accomplishment to Prince Alwaleed.

Prince Alwaleed said, “We dedicate the team’s achievement to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.”

Prince Alwaleed continues to support and care about all athletes in Saudi Arabia and in particular equestrian, which has received considerable funding from the prince.
