Minions and Abdullah Amoudi took their turns to sizzle, claiming the Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week awards respectively during the second session in the Alyoum-FBGR Tuesday Bowling League 12th Conference at the Universal Bowling Center here.

The league is sponsored by Alyoum under the auspices of the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR).

Minions, mentored by Dong Yamco, blanked newly formed team of Almarai CPP of Manny Dolon 21-0. Shawn Ricketts led the Minions charge by scoring 872 points with support from Jao Urbano 792 and Koko Torres 640. Yamco added 393, Hydee Urbano 390, Bong Solomon 383 and Romy Repia 371 points. Scorers for the losing team were Tony Barcoma 743, Manny Dolon 583, Ranilo Paderma 577 and Eduardo Salivio 546 points.

In another encounter, UBC Family of Lulu Quejada beat Charlie Cheng’s Dabarkadz 21-4. UBC took home half of the night’s awards courtesy of its ace bowler Abdullah Amoudi who emerged Best Bowler of the Week after he shot the high series of 894. Another Saudi bowler to sparkle at UBC was HRH MS who shot 821 that went with Bembol Velasco’s 774, 426 by Celis Viloria, 419 by Yasser Aburaish, 387 by Lulu Quejada and 340 by Dennis Gabriel.

Angel Caasi led Dabarkadz on 725 followed by Cheng 724, Obet Miranda 631 and Ruel Pingol 631 Donjie Mapalad had 355 and Glenn Dela Cruz 339 in two games played.

T3S Warrior, mentored by Nelson De Vera, demolished defending champion Tsamba Bowlers of Abdulrahman Ahmed 16-8. Carrying the load for T3S were Edgar Buenaventura 783, Joel Lambo 742, Nelson De Vera 721, Fareed Aquino 721 and Arnold Jesena 684. Tsamba had Nina De Vera on 766, Zaldy Torres 736, Ely Fanugao 705, Marvin Arocena 661, Leo Mabunga 547 and Abdulrahman Ahmed 135.

Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia Jr. smashed Alyoum of Jun Daniel 16-8. Leading scorers of the winning team were Manny Lebrilla 776, Ric Urrutia 757, Jess Ambon 729 and Butch Mateo 693. Ruby Urrutia contributed 406 and Ed Cruz 338, while the losing team banked on Doy Del Moral 813, Fhel Ramos 710, Alex Armada 695, Joel Batolina 547, Beth Danganan 543 and Jun Daniel 329.

In other matches, Enigma Strikers of Bandar Al-Marshad beat Breakers of Shakur Kamlian 19-10; EPO-L of Lope Ramirez edged IBG Storm of Ric Singson 15-14 in a 2-2 match and UFTBR of Armin Isles downed TGIT Genesis of Rollie Cleofe 18-12.
