JEDDAH: A record unbeaten 251-run opening wicket partnership by Murtuza and Maqsood enabled APF rout Choudhry XI by 89 runs during the eighth week of the MoneyGram Afternoon League organized by the Western Province Cricket Association, here.

Murtuza top-scored with 134 runs and Maqsood 104. Choudhry XI managed 162 for 5.

In the Premier Division, Al-Saudi put on board 224 for 4 against Islamic Development Bank. Aseer Ashraf was the highest scorer with 78 runs followed by Mazer’s 52. Abdullah Shah bagged 3 wickets. IDB in reply folded up for 115 runs. Mazher took 3 wickets, Adil and Zeeshan got 2 each. Al-Saudi won by 109 runs.

Dopco Stars downed AOT by 45 runs. Dopco Stars piled up 215 for 7. Afaq was in top form and scored 93 off 44 balls. Atif had 3 wickets. AOT in reply were restricted to 170 for 9. Naeem Shah made 45. Shoaib Ali scalped 4 for 27 including a hat trick.

My Care Hala trounced Crown Steel by 9 wickets. Crown Steel posted 137. Khurram made 35. Hussain Bhatti took 3 while Tariq and Faheem shared 4 wickets. My Care Hala eased home easily and scored 142 for 1. Qamar Abbas hammered an unbeaten 75 while Moazzam got 48.
