MADINAH: Pak Eagle emerged champions of the MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badshah Twenty20 Cricket Tournament when they scored a hard-earned ten-run win over Pak United in the final, held under the auspices of the Saudi Cricket Centre and organized by the Madinah Cricket Association, here.

Pak Eagle made first use of the track and put up a fighting total of 186 for 6 from their stipulated overs. Fayyaz Chauhan top-scored with 65 runs. Jahangir supported him with 28 runs followed by Rehan’s 24. Nazim and Imran shared 4 wickets for United.

United fought hard to reach their target but fell short by 10 runs and managed 176. Captain Atique scored a quick-fire 56 runs off 30 balls while Shahnawaz made a brisk 43 off 42 balls. United got 36 runs in the form of extras. Adnan and Shakeel captured 2 wickets each.

The final was followed by prize distribution ceremony. Sadiq–ul-Islam and Hamid Rana (both SSC) were the chief guests. Tariq Mishkhis, editor-in-chief of Urdu News, was special guest and gave away the prizes.

Aftab from Airport XI received a medal for official scorer. Zohaib (Friends XI), Mustafa (Friends XI), Touseef (Airport XI) and Ghulam Rasool (Bismilla XI) were honored match officials.

Later on Sadiqul Islam, Hamid Rana and Tariq Mishkhis expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by Saudi Cricket Centre ad Medina Cricket Association. On behalf of Syed Zahid Ali the president of MCA Tarique Mishkhis presented the Souvenir to Sadiq and Hamid Rana.

On behalf of SCC Sadiqul Islam also presented a souvenir to Zahid Ali, president of MCA in recognition of services for the promotion of cricket in Saudi Arabia.
