JIZAN: Pak National scored a comfortable four-wicket win over Fuchs in the final to win the MoneyGram Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Saudi Cricket CentRE and organized by the Jizan Region Cricket Association, here

Fuchs won the toss and managed to put on board a dismal 107 runs. Misbah (28) and Kaleem (27) were the only two batsmen who put up some resistance. Shahid took 3 wickets while Imran and Manzoor 2 each.

In reply Pak National Cricket Club achieved the target after 16 overs for the loss of six wickets. The highlight of the inning was Mohammad Adeel’s unbeaten 31 and Khadim’s 22. Khusroo and Ameer took 2 wickets each.

After the final, JRCA Chairman Liaquat Ali, President Zahid Mahmoud, Shabeer Shah welcomed the guests from SCC. Others present on the occasion were, Rahat Chaudhry, Raiz Ahmed Shahid, Mahboob Mirza, Taseef, Rasheed Raja, Dr. Javed Farooqi, Shahid, Zahid and Muhammad Kazim.

Qasim Naqvi of SCC thanked the JRCA management for organizing this tourney in a successful manner. Liaquat Ali and Zahid Mahmoud thanked the cricket fans, delegates and congratulated the two finalists.

Captain Shahid Bhatti of Pak National was handed over a cash prize of SR5000 and the winning trophy while the Fuchs Cricket Club captain received a cash prize of SR3000 with the runner-up trophy.

Individual performance awards were given to Best Bowler: Riasat Ali of Fuchs (Kit bag and SR 500), Player-of-the-Tournament: Asif Manzoor (Kit bag and SR 1000), Man-of-the-Final: Shahid Bhatti of Pak National (SR 1000) and Rizwan of Farasan Tigers (Kit bag and cash prize SR 500).

In addition, all the man-of-the-matches were given watches and trophies. The umpires and scorers were given shields. All the members of the committee were given medals. A shield was given by SCC’s to Liaquat Ali and Zahid Mahmoud.
