JEDDAH: Pak Young and new entrants Jamoom made winning starts in the Jeddah Cricket Association-organized Morning League, sponsored by Jotun recently.

Pak Young beat Al Boroj by 28 runs while new entrants Jamoom Fighters routed Al Khulais by 64 runs

Pak Young posted an imposing score of 208 for 8 off 20 overs. Azmat (60) led the way along with Zafar (54) laid the foundation for a big score. They were supported by Yasir (44) and Fazal (30). Usman & Kamran bowled well to take 3 wickets each for 30 and 35 runs respectively.

In reply Al Boroj gave a befitting reply. Ossam scored an unbeaten 71. Kamran (28) and Usman (28) were the other run getters. Fazal put in a fine all round performance took 5 for 23. He was supported by Afridi and Wasim who took a wicket each, which restricted Al Boroj to 180 for 7.

In the other match, Jamoom Fighters were bundled out for 135 as Khalil (3 for 17) and Hasnain (3 for 20) ran through their batting. Adil (35) and Arshad (24) were the batsmen to bat sensibly.

However in reply, the experienced batting of Al Khulais developed cold feet and were surprisingly dismissed for 71. Kamran bowled a fiery spell of fast bowling and took 5 for 15. Faisal chipped in with 2 for 13 to give Fighters their first win. Zahoor (13), Adnan (10) were only batsmen to reach double figures.
