JEDDAH: Pakistan International School Jeddah, Azizia will take on Pakistan International School Jeddah (English Section) in the under-19 final of the Inter-School Twenty20 cricket tournament, jointly organized by the Saudi Cricket Center and the Western Province Cricket Association, played at the Eskan ground, Jeddah.

In the first semifinal, Mudassir’s breezy 103 off 54 balls helped PISJ, Azizia, to compile a total of 184 runs against International Indian School Jeddah in the allotted 18 overs. Mudassir was supported by Abbas (33) and Bhatti (20). Talat and Adnan took one wicket each. In reply IISJ facing a difficult target were all out for 106 and lost by 78 runs. Aatif (15) and Badar (27) were the notable scorers. Umer took 2 wkts as Mudassir, Ali and Aasim had one wicket each.

In the second semifinal, PISJ (ES) batted first after winning the toss and put up a total of 141 for 3. Mohsin (43), Furqan (33), Anas Malik (17) and Salman (10) were the main run getters. Abdulwasey, Abdulrafey and Ali captured a wicket each.

In response Hala fell short by 38 runs and were all out for 103 runs. After Abdulwasey (17) and Hassan (33) were out, none of the Hala’s batsmen could reach double figures. Habeeb did most of the damage and had figures of 5 for 10 runs while Khurram claimed 4 for 25 to ensure the victory.
