RIYADH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), received players and members of Alghotah Sports Club, chaired by Khalaf Alshammari, at the KHC headquarters on Sunday.

Prince Alwaleed and Alshamari discussed the latest updates of the club and its achievements. The prince stressed the need to support sports, athletes and development of clubs in Saudi Arabia. He also stressed the need to encourage the younger generation to hone their athletic skills and invest their time in useful activities.

As a form of encouragement, Prince Alwaleed awarded the members and players of the club a sum of SR110, 000. In response to the team’s request, Prince Alwaleed also donated a bus. This honor comes for the club’s accomplishments in football, gymnastics, cycling and tennis.

Alshamari thanked Prince Alwaleed for his support and his constant encouragement to clubs and sport federations in Saudi Arabia. The team presented a trophy to Prince Alwaleed in recognition of his continued support for the sporting activities in the Kingdom.
