Clay Buchholz (4-0) allowed two runs and eight hits in eight innings before Andrew Bailey escaped his own jam in the ninth to secure his third save.

J.J. Hardy added a two-run homer and a sacrifice fly while Chris Davis had three hits, including a double that ignited the winning rally.
Darren O’Day (2-0) got two outs in the top of the eighth for the win and Jim Johnson pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his seventh save.
Andre Ethier belted a three-run homer, Matt Kemp collected three hits and Mark Ellis added two hits and an RBI for the Dodgers, who have lost five straight.
Orioles 6 Dodgers 1 (2nd): Manny Machado and Chris Davis homered and Chen Wei-yin tossed six strong innings as Baltimore completed a doubleheader sweep of visiting Los Angeles.
Chen (1-2) allowed one run on three hits for Baltimore, which rallied with two runs in the eighth to win the first game 7-5.
Machado had three hits and four RBIs, including a three-run homer in the sixth to put the Orioles ahead 6-1. Tommy Hunter worked three scoreless innings in relief for his first save.
Yankees 5 Blue Jays 3 (11): A throwing error by Aaron Loup allowed the go-ahead runs to score in the 11th inning as visiting New York earned its ninth win in 11 games.
With two men on and nobody out, Ichiro Suzuki laid down a bunt to the right of Loup (1-1).
The left-hander’s throw missed third baseman Brett Lawrie, who was caught out of position after charging the bunt, and sailed into shallow left field, bringing home Vernon Wells and Francisco Cervelli.
Reds 3 Marlins 2 (13): Choo Shin-soo reached base a career-high six times and scored the go-ahead run on Brandon Phillips’ walk-off sacrifice fly as host Cincinnati improved to 9-3 at home.
Choo went 3-for-4 and walked three times, becoming the first Cincinnati player since Sean Casey in 1999 to reach base six times, while Joey Votto added four hits and homered for the Reds.
Alfredo Simon (1-1), the fifth Cincinnati pitcher of the game, tossed a perfect 13th to collect the win.
Nationals 7 Mets 6: Bryce Harper belted two home runs, including a go-ahead solo shot in the eighth, and scored three times as visiting Washington edged New York.
Harper, who posted his second multi-homer game of the season, went 3-for-3 and finished with three RBIs.
Adam LaRoche and Ian Desmond also homered for the Nationals to match the Mets’ four-homer effort in Friday’s 7-1 setback
Twins 2 White Sox 1 (10): Ryan Doumit doubled leading off the 10th and scored on Alexei Ramirez’s throwing error as visiting Minnesota edged Chicago.
Eduardo Escobar came up with one out and sent a grounder to short, where Ramirez fielded and misfired on the throw, allowing Doumit to scamper home from second.
