REDTAG rode a strong fourth quarter to a 74-72 victory over Gentleman 74-72 in the OFBL Bracket B Non Rated Division Friday Morning Games at Timeout Sport Academy Stadium on Television St., Ghulail District on the outskirts of Jeddah last Friday.

Down by a point, REDTAG launched an 8-0 run to have its first taste of lead and gain the momentum, employing pressure defense to build a 66-63 lead, a good cushion with 2 minutes left in the 4th quarter. Although Gentleman managed to close the gap to one point in the final minute of the game, REDTAG remained strong to impede the enemy comeback attempt behid the dominance of the boards by their big men.

Dedase proved unstoppable, attacking relentlessly Gentleman’s defense inside the paint without fear to top-score for REDTAG with 18 points and become the Best Player of the game. Arboleda backed him up with 14 points, Luib added 13 points and Sarangay had 12 points and 10 big offensive rebounds.

In the other Bracket B game, Jeddah Lions used a big second half to erase a 10-point deficit and snatch the game from Nesma Holding 87-84.

The Jeddah Lions quartet of Salazar, Eusebio, Estrada and Taguam , led the winning team with 19 points, 17, 14 and 14 respectively. Oculam netted 33 points, Adanza 24 and Llanos 22 for the losing team.

In a thrilling Bracket C game, R.S.G.T. rebounded from a defeat in its last outing to pull off an 87-77 victory over Toyota Yaris.

Yobatz spearheaded R.S.G.T with 5 consecutive 3-pointers to finish with 28 points, followed by Dacrama who had 17 points and Brucelo with 11 points. Llamado score 13 points in Toyota’s losing cause.

The other Bracket C game was won in one-sided fashion by Alwajan against Jeddah Dabarkads 74-65. Bedison led Alwajan with 21 points.

Meanwhile, action continued in the OFBL 5th Conference Evening Division games with Citymax turning back the challenge of Unicorp for a 72-64 triumph in the Inter-Company Bonafide Division.

Citymax had a balanced offense with each and every player contributing their share, led by Eusebio 24 points, Tondo 24 and Occulam 12.

Citymax GM Jason Cuan boosted the morale of the players with his attendance in the game.

Cerenio had 15 points and Mcatangay 12 for Unicorp.

In the Inter-Company Bonafide Division, Bahra Cables beat Alyanabie 71-68.

It was a tight ball game for the first three quarters. Alyanabie had the lead in the fourth period only for Bahra to wrest the initiative in the last three minutes.

Workhorse Andales scored 34 points for Bahra while Gabiana added 12 points.

In the other Open Non-Rated Division game, Fuji brought down Awdah 75-71.

Manalili and Tablante spearheaded the winning team with 30 points, while Natividad had 18 points for Awdah

Jameel Renewed defeated Triple M 67-65 for its first win in Inter-Company Non-Rated Division. Teddy Jamahali scored 18 points and Asmad 11 points for Jameel. M. Pajuyo led Triple M with 11 points.
