RTJ Transient House poured cold water on a threat from Carlos Sports Wear for the No. 1 spot by clinching its fifth Team of the Week award during the 13th session in the OFBC 4 + 1 Friday Afternoon League Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

Two weeks after it watched Carlos in the lead in the tournament, RTJ made a move to reclaim the No. 1 and, hopefully, keep it until final week of eliminations as it shut out D’ Luf’s Strikers 20-0.

With total pinfalls of 2,086 worth 7 rank points, RTJ ended the session with the top total win points of 27.

In contrast, Carlos could only make 15 total win points following a 10-10 draw with D’ Replacement, which owned the highest rank points of 8 off total pinfalls of 2,134 and the ladies Bowler of the Week accolade courtesy of Mildred Florentino on 563.

Captained by Vov Stone, Carlos Sports Wear tallied 2,033 for rank points of 5.

Archie & Company and Red Dragon matched totals of 24 at the end of the session — Archie blanking Pairs 20-0 on total pinfalls of 1,980-1,811 and Red Dragon whipping The Youngsters Revival 18-2 (2,061-1,938) while also producing the men’s Bowler of the Week in Cesar Pagtalunan on 559.

Class A bowler Joel Nidoy teamed with skipper Rudy ‘RJ’ Jamon at the vanguard of the RTJ charge, shooting 527 and 524 respectively. Beginning bowler Kristhea Mae Busico, enjoying a rich handicap, contributed 518 while Jack Jarin had 159-148 and Hadi Pacheco, another Class A player on the lineup, added 180.

Archie Alcantara led by example putting together the top score of 517 for his team to go with the 513 by Puri Parena, 119-104 by Usman de Guzman, 152-140 by Lito delos Reyes and 137-134 by Lexter Atienza.

Over at Red Dragon co-captain Bash Langa and Arman Gamboa fired 518 and 503 to back up Pagtalunan. Fatima Jintarat made 469 to round out the scoring.

Along with Florentino rookie Jayme Lugue did full games at 533 at the helm of Replacement which netted two games each of 152-128 from skipper Khalid Bustinera, 163-164 from Fedelyn Bustinera, and 158-161 from Allan Salamanes.

Christine Stone and Gino Vallejos carded 553 and 550.
