RTJ Transient House never had to wait long to avenge its defeat to Carlos Sports Wear after winning their rematch as the second round eliminations got under way with the eighth session in the OFBC 4 + 1 Friday Afternoon League Season 3 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.

As if to remind everyone who’s the boss RTJ crafted a masterful 16-4 victory made all the sweeter by the fact that it gave Rudy T. Jamon’s outfit its third Team of the Week award and third men’s Bowler of the Week accolade courtesy of Joel Nidoy.

More importantly RTJ strengthened its grip on first place in this five-man team league event, after a second straight week of head-to-head between the tournament’s top two teams.

When the smoke of battle settled RTJ had the top total win points of 24 to the 10 of Carlos, who won the first round 12-8 the previous week.

To the Youngsters Revival went the second-best 22 points total after they turned back Archie & Company 18-2 on total pinfalls of 2,038 and 1,974 and rank points of 4 and 2.

Pairs and Spares stalled the gathering momentum for defending champion Red Dragon by winning their match 12-8 on total pinfalls of 2,277-2,131, rank points of 7-5 and total win points of 19-13.

Elsewhere, D’ Luf’s Strikers and The Replacement 2 battled to a 10-10 draw (2,036-1,971 3-1 13-11).

Mia Cedotes of Pairs was the ladies Bowler of the Week on 575.

Enjoying a rich vein of form despite having his hands full running the tournament, Commissioner Nidoy set the tone of the match by shooting 230 in the first game. He then added 199 and 182 for the high series of 629 that earned him his third individual award.

Kristhea Mae Busico fired 574 and Hadi Pacheco 515 to back up Nidoy at RTJ, while Malou Nidoy contributed two games of 161-191 and Jamon tosed in 179.

Youngsters got good games from the Lim couple Toto 552 and Vangie 529 with their daughter Carms putting 484 on the board. Jerry Carredo compiled 145-126 and Susan Patayan 150.

Along with Cedotes Nap Patayan and Akang Victorino did well at Pairs on 585 and 569 while Conrad Baltazar had 145-192 and team captain Joey Calapatia made 157.

For Luf’s the heavy hitters wre the trio of Nards Hassan 544, Anna Marie De Guzman 515 and Farida De Guzman 513.

Replacement built its total behind the quartet of Jhun Ejanda 566, Fedelyn Bustinera 498, Khalid Bustinera 459 and Jayme Lugue 448.
