JEDDAH: Tabraiz of ARM slammed a magnificent unbeaten 111 runs to steer his team past Ace Travel by 49 runs during the seventh week of the MoneyGram Premier Division Cricket League organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association here.

In other matches, Micro Engineering defeated Tamer by 38 runs while Pak Green scored an exciting 16-run win over Desert Warriors.

Unbeaten ARM batted first and scored 232 for 5 in their allotted 20 overs. The in form opening batsman, Tabraiz scored a quick fire unbeaten 111 off just 54 balls.

His lanky partner Athar Ali chipped in 62 runs. Sami Khan later propped up the innings with a well-made 20 runs.

Off spinner Ibrahim bin Mahfouz contained the ARM onslaught with 3 for 4.

ACE Travel in reply made 183 for 6. Opening bat Syed Kaleem (22) Jawed Ahmed (30), Ibrahim bin Mahfouz (34) and Atta Ur Rahman (54) were the main run getters. Nazeer 2 for 26, Zeeshan 2 for 24 and Rashid 2 for 11 were among the wickets for ARM.

In the other match, Micro Engineering posted 234 for 5 wickets against Tamer. Shareef top-scored with 52 runs. Kaleem (44), Sami (45) and Anwar Malik (42) were the other contributors. Rayees got 2 for 52. Arshad, Karam Ali and Anwar Khan took a wicket each.

In reply Tamer managed only 196 for 4. Skipper Anwar was in good nick and scored 50 runs while his opening partner Rayees got 35. Bulk of the runs came from the blade of middle order batsman Arshad who hit 61 runs off 33 balls. However, Tamer fell short by 38 runs in their bid for victory. Abid 2 for 19, Maqsood 1 for 13 and skipper Rafi 1 for 32 were the wicket takers.

In the third match, Pak Green batted first and scored 186 for 7 wickets. Malik Shan Manzoor (25), Asim Ashfaq (30), Asim Khan (32 n.o) and Adnan (30) did their best. Adil 3 for 28 and Abdul Quddus 2 for 25 were among the wickets.

In reply Desert Warriors were all out for 170. Jafar (30), Abdul Quddus (30) and skipper Muzammil Riyaz (30) were among the runs. Adnan 2 for 31 and Shahzad 2 for 35 did most of the damage.

Rahman, Sher shine

In the Morning League, Butt Sports routed Al Khulais by 6 wickets, Pak Young notched a 23-run win over Saleheen, MHA got the better of KAIA by 5 wickets and Reel & Rom trounced Al Gudaid by 9 wickets.

KAIA for 168: Aminuddin 32, Farrukh 25, Zeeshan 28, Ahsan Masood 30; Sher (3 for 1, Ali 3 for 21, Riaz 2 for 30) lost to MHA 169 for 5: (Zia 72, Shad Muhammad 24, Ali 26; Munir took 2 for 12) by 5 wkts.

Al Gudaid 146 for 7: (Yousuf 75, Noor Alam 24; Yaqoob 3 for 7, Irfan 2 for 23) lost to Reel & Rom 147 for 1: (Qasim 56 n.o, Irfan 60 n.o) by 9 wkts.

Easy for Ktaykit, ICAD

Led by a scintillating century from Nazim, Ktaykit scored a thrilling five-wicket win over Peeran XI. ICAD trounced Jamco by 41 runs while Old Students made easy work of Munch Bakery winning by 24 runs
