Team Irene and Ahmad Al-Qarquosh came up with strong performances to become the Best Team of the Week and Best Bowler of the Week during the 22nd session in the FBGR-Almarai Sunday Bowling League 13th Conference at Universal Bowling Center here.

Mentored by Dhong Yamco, Team Irene blanked Alinma Bank of Abdulrahman Ahmed 4-0 on 24-11 points. Vicky Vitug led the way by scoring 890 points with support from Yamco 843, Stephen Solomon 821, Irene Pua 817 and Donjie Mapalad 738 points. Scorers for the losing team were George Sto. Domingo 854, Jess Ambon 816, Leo Mabunga 718, Cas Ecila 615, Abdulrahman Ahmed 518 and Bernie Torres 380.

RG512 mentored by Yasser Mohammed edged Sweet Angel Vipers of Angel Caasi 19-16 in a 2-2 match. Al-Qarquosh burned the lanes for 899 points on lines of 247, 187, 226, and 199 to clinch the individual award while leading the RG512 charge. Providing big support to Al-Qarquosh were Edgar Buenaventura 811 and Noel Marquez 771, while Rocky Manipon added 415, Rasheed Rasheedan 401, Yasser Mohamed 386 and Resty De Jesus 368. Koko Torres led Vipers on 889 followed by Reinier Torres 817, l Caaasi 771, Dawood Sereno 745 and Jun Balubayan 699.

The match between Thales of Ryan Iñigo demolished Nadec Strikers of Lope Ramirez 22-15. Team captain Iñigo led by example on 836. Boy Mirando had a solid 828, Ramon Chua made 654, Cheng Lambo 531 in three games each played, Ismael Viloria 383 and Nelson De Vera 214. Nadec had Atoi Ramos on 872, Danny Nabong 780, Jove Marano 760, Ruben Babasa 754 and Reynald Medina 748 points.

Almarai Co. of Jun Daniel defeated blind scores-laden Proshop Strikers of Ric Urrutia 11-4. Doy Del Moral 782, Jun Daniel 760, Paul Decena 748 and Joel batolina 670 points bannered Almarai while the losing team’s scorers were Ed Cruz 853, Urrutia 771 and Bobby Jamora 712.

In other matches, Look Up Boys mentored by Ronald Bautista edged No.1 Carry Over captained by Lulu Quejada 18-16, Alsalam Knights mentored by Bandar Al-Marshad beat United Global of Jeff Nierva 23-16 and FBGR Selection of Mike Ecalnir walloped IBG Storm of Ric Singson 23-14.
