JEDDAH: Top teams booked their places in the semifinals of the MoneyGram Cricket Ke Badsha Twenty20 sponsored Premier League under the auspices of the Saudi Cricket Center and organized by the Jeddah Cricket Association here.

During the ninth week matches, ARM scored a comfortable seven-wicket win over Desert Warriors, Mazco got the better of Tamer by 4 wickets, Pak Green routed Ace Travel by 50 runs and Hyderabad Green made short work of Micro Engineering by 9 wickets.

Debutants ARM continued their good showing this season and bundled out Desert Warriors for 126 runs. Thanks to the pace duo of Shahid (3 for 37), Nazeer (2 for 14) and the double spin combination of Sami (2 for 14) and Zeeshan (2 for 21).

Jafar (24) and Junaid (36) were the only ones to offer some resistance.

ARM knocked off the runs after 12 overs and scored 129 for 3. Tabraiz continued his aggressive form and scored a brilliant 82 off 28 balls while Athar (22) gave him good support. Basil, Alam and Khalid picked up a wicket each.

In another match, Mazco bowled out Tamer for 176 from their stipulated overs. Anees (23) and Altaf (20 not out) were amongst the runs. Azar took 4 for 23, Farhat 3 for 31.

In reply Mazco knocked off the required runs with three overs and six wickets in hand. Sabir stroked an unbeaten 53 runs while Farhat (28) gave him good support. Afroz 2 for 41 and Altaf 2 for 35 were the wicket takers.

Elsewhere, Pak Green scored 223 for 7 against Ace Travel. Amer Shahzad top-scored with 90 followed by Shahzad (23) Waseem (39 n.o) and Asim (26 n.o). Atta (2 for 43), Zahid (2 for 31) and Sohail (2 for 33) were the main wicket takers. Ace Travel were never in the hunt and finished with 175 for 8. Javed (84) and Adnan (37) were the only batsmen who put up some resistance while others crumbled to the spin of Zahid who wrecked the rival batting line up with 5 for 30 to give Pak Green an easy 50-run win.

Micro Engineering were shot for 150 against Hyderabad Green who scored the required runs off only 11.3 overs for the loss of one wicket. Amer Wahla scored a scintillating unbeaten 103 off 47 balls while Amer Rasheed remained unbeaten with 21 as Hyderabad Green won by 9 wickets.

Reel & Rom, MHA, KAIA triumph

In the Morning League, Reel & Rom, MHA, KAIA inched closer to the qualifying stage with wins over Al-Khulais by six wickets, Al-Gudaid by three wickets and Al-Boroj by seven runs respectively during the ninth week matches.

KAIA 183 for 4: (Majid 30, Amin 39, Farhan 26, Hussain 44 not out; Siddique & Babar a wkt each) beat Al Boroj 176: (Jamshaid 30, Babar 20, Siddique 20, Rehan 19; Farhan 4 for 24, Amin 2 for 42) by 7 runs.
