Toya Jeddah Squash League takes off

The 2nd Toya Jeddah Squash League took off with matches across courts in Jeddah including the King Fahad Coastal City, Z-Club, Al-Bilad Hotel and Al-Romaih Compound.
Ten teams are taking part in this league, which will be held during the weekends and over a period of four months.
On day one, favorites Toya routed hosts Al-Bilad 4-1 in a one-sided affair.
In other matches, Z-Club (A & B) had a bad day as both their teams were beaten in the opening matches to Al-Romaih Compound and Alwani respectively.
Earlier, an opening ceremony was held at the Ubhur Resorts where the draws were held. Shahid Khan, organizer of the event, welcomed the teams along with their captains into the league.
Khan thanked the sponsors, Toya, Raquet Shop, and Alwani Dates for their support in promoting squash and making it popular among the Jeddah youth. He also expressed appreciation to various participating clubs, which agreed to host matches. Khan was hopeful that continued squash action over the next few months will keep squash lovers in Jeddah enthusiastic and passionate for this sport.
This was followed by a welcome address by Toya Marketing Manager, Irfan Bajwa.
Other guests included Amin Malik, marketing manager of Raquet Shop and Abdul Shakoor Khan, from Alwani Dates.
Teams: Toya, Al Bilad Hotel, Z-Club (A & B), King Fahad Coastal City (A & B), Al Marbai, Al-Romaih Compound, Alwani and Grey Foxes.
