This refers to the report “Woman charged with murder in US subway shove death” (Dec. 31). It is really sad to read such a report where ill-minded and fanatics put innocent people to death. As a matter of fact, every community has its share of black sheep, and owing to some offenders the whole community cannot be blamed.
And above all, why an innocent person be attacked for no fault of his? In view of the fact that such hate crimes are on the rise in the US and elsewhere in the West, people need to be extra careful while being in public places. Also, hatred cannot lead to positive result. The message of humanity is: To respect all religions and do not interfere in anyone’s religion and personal life.
But, some sick minds do devise destructive ideas, which lead to disunity among human beings. To achieve the goal of unity, there must be mutual respect for each other’s rights. The moral is that all human beings must be respected. — Anees Lokhande, Alkhobar
