Labor Minister Adel Fakeih yesterday highlighted the importance of Balanced Scorecard (BSC), saying the management system is an effective tool for strategy articulation, communication, execution and monitoring.
Addressing the Balanced Score Card Forum, he said his ministry had gone through detailed strategic assessments and analyses which resulted in the formulation of a Ministry of Labor Strategy Map and BSC. The minister said his journey with BSC started after reading the Kaplan & Norton article “The Balance Scorecard — Measures That Drive Performance.” He added: “As the CEO and chairman of Savola Group he was inspired by the power of BSC framework.”
