The newly reinforced Alinma Bank Aspire captained by Jojo de Silva finally booked its first Team of the Week honors during the final week of the first round in the Interbank Tenpin Bowlers of Riyadh (ITBR) league at the InterContinental Hotel Bowling Center here.
Handicap-rich Aspire playing as the bye team on the 9th week posted 455 win points with rookie Ranier Torres completing an Alinma double by claiming the Bowler of the Week award after shooting the high series of 836. Aspire displaced consistent SABB-SAMA from the fourth spot in the team standings. The duo of Gelo Train and Obet Mata supported Torres with a four-game series of 762 and 752 respectively. The five-man team of Art Capulong never defeated its opponent in three games. Jaffer Al-Kathiri almost got away with his third individual award this season with an 834 at the helm of Advance. He was assisted by Sam Alinsod, Ahmed Qarquosh, Arnold Jesena and Gerry Austria who rolled 734, 728, 687 and 597.

SABB-SAMA team captain Teody Zulaybar fielded all his players with higher handicap to demolish Alinma Tefa’al 260-0. However, they dropped to fifth place due to low output. The trio of Jun Macarandan, Freddie Solomon, David Smart and Jun Bolocboloc carded 771, 749, 700 and 688 series while captain Teody Zulaybar and Bernie Torres had 386 and 293.

The quartet of Edwin Fontiveros, captain Dong Calub, Agie Dazo and Ed Robillos failed to produce the much-needed output due to dire lane conditions as they only rolled four-game series of 760, 728, 722 and 701. Boy Rogel tallied 505 while Siraj Zakaria had 147.
