RIYADH, 28 December — In the presence of Saudia Athletic Club’s honorary guest, assistant vice-president for sales and passenger services Eid Al Kelabi and the general manager of Human Resources Fahad Al Ahmad of Central Region, Saudia Club at Riyadh concluded its Ramadan athletic activities which started Dec. 18 (2nd of the holy month of Ramadan 1422H).
More than 236 employees of the 9 different departments participated in these activities which included billiards, table tennis, football, volleyball, basketball, and football.
Journalists from several local newspapers attended the final match in football between the In Flight Services department team and the Human Resources department team which ended in 3-2 goals in favor of the IFS team. Al Kelabi awarded the championship cup and gold medals to the manager of the IFS department in Riyadh Abdulaziz Al Ghamdi and the team captain.
During the half time of the football match, the manager of Safety Department and team captain Soliman Al Teraif, received his team’s championship cups and golden medals in the volleyball, basketball and table tennis. Referees who participated in the tournament along with the journalists were honored with trophies.
Several sponsoring companies were also honored and thanked for their sponsoring and full support during the days of the tournaments, companies such as Zejoul, Nada, and Al Safi Danon.
Media coverage from Saudi television Channel 2 was present and covered the event. At the end of the ceremony, Saudia club manager Fahad Al Dahash thanked Al Kelabi and Al Ahmad for their continuous support and efforts for the club without which the events could not have ended as smooth as it did.
