ALKHOBAR, 25 January — In the EPCA League sponsored by Khalifa Algosaibi Group AGE Crush DHL by 259 runs. AGE batted first and scored 362 runs in their allotted 40 overs. Thanks to Sikandar and Waheed for their wonderful opening stand in which they put on 152 runs in just 14 overs. Waheed lost his wicket first after scoring valuable 62 runs but Sikandar Farooqi was in good form. He played the anchor role and scored breezy century in just 47 balls in which he hit twelve boundaries and five mighty sixes.

After Sikandar’s departure his son Mudassar took the charge and scored superb 67 runs which included 5 boundaries and two towering sixes. Irfan Farooqi also batted well and contributed 40 useful runs and Nadeem chipped in with quick 27 runs. Muneer bowled well and took 3 wickets and George and Prem claimed 2 wickets each. In reply to AGE big total DHL were all out for 103 runs.

Jairaj was the top scorer with 30 runs. After his departure Shiraz Farooqi the youngest player of the EPCA league and Son on Sikandar farooqi ripped through the batting line of DHL and took 5 wickets for 32 runs and Shahab took 3 wickets.

In another match, Pak Arab beat YATA by 23 runs. Arab Pak batted first and scored 232 runs.

Naeem scored a fine half century, Akhter scored 47 runs and Arshad and Shahzad scored 25 runs each. Asim bowled well and took 3 wickets and Shahzad and Mazhar took 2 wickets each. In reply, YATA could only manage to scored 209 runs and in the process they lost 9 wickets. Mazhar 41 runs, Naeem 26 runs, Asim 32 runs and Wahid 43 runs were main scorers.

In another high scoring match, Rainbow chased 300 and beat AlHoda by 3 wickets. AlHoda batted first and scored just 300 runs in their allotted 40 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. Fazal was top scorer with 72 runs, Ikram 69 runs and Shahzad and Naushad scored 27 runs each. Akram bowled well and took 2 wickets for 35 runs. In reply Rainbow reached the target in the 39th over.

In another match, Hyderabad Blues beat Saudi Ready Mix by 39 runs. Hyderabad Blues batted first and scored 281 runs. Kurram 65 runs was the top scorer, Zubair scored breezy 59 runs which included 5 towering sixes and 4 hits to the fence.

In reply S.R. Mix were all out for 242 runs. Zia scored fine 67 runs, Asif 39 runs, Kelvin 32 runs and Javed scored 28 runs.
