JEDDAH, 1 February — The Sarawat Green Farm and the Malaysia Airlines bowling teams excelled to corner bowling spotlight in the 25th week of the All Filipino Tenpin Bowling League’s 27th conference organized by the Filipino Tenpin Bowlers of Jeddah (FTBJ) at the Jeddah Bowling Center. Also sharing limelight were the players of the Tetra Pak team who won the best team uniform award.

The Sarawat Green Farm relying on the devastating forms of Val Magsino and Mao Orolfo with a splendid support coming from fellow members Igna Salgado, Nestor Q. and Odjie Sagcal rolled-past the Abudawood Trading team (formerly Picpa 2002) to post a 5-0 victory. The deadly duo of Orolfo and Salgado sizzled to post a towering 213 and 204 in the first game with support coming from Magsino, Sagcal and Nestor by scoring 190, 189 and 178.

A team series of 997 were posted by the Sarawat in the first match to snatch victory over the Abudawood who registered a team series of 950. Felix Jalaton led in the Abudawood with a high game of 234 in the first outing. Sebz Tristeza and Lindo Villanueva chipped-in 178 and 177 while Eddie Alisbo added 152. In the second outing, the unstoppable Sarawat keglers flew high to dismantle anew the Abudawood by garnering a convincing team series of 1011 against 903 team series recorded by the Abudawood.

The dazzling display of Nestor and Magsino proved too strong to power the Sarawat for another brilliant win in the second games. Nestor and Magsino rolled an impressive 230 and 229 while teammates Sagcal, Salgado and Orolfo contributed 199, 181 and 159. Lindo Villanueva of Abudawood shot 206 while Alisbo, Tristeza and Payoongayong rolled 177, 172 and 175.

In the penultimate game, the Sarawat keglers, without mercy, brushed aside the Abudawood to post another sweet victory over the Abudawood. The Sarawat squad tallied a team series of 1060 through the brilliant games of Orolfo who rolled a game-high of 236. Salgado sparkled to score 214 ad Magsino downing 204.

Sagcal and Nestor downed 199 and 184. For the Abudawood, Villanueva was on top with 184, followed by Alisbo (176), Payongayong (168) and Tristeza (168). The Sarawat Green Farms compiled a towering overall total team series of 3068 pinfalls while the Abudawood submitted 2780 overall total team series.Defending OFW Summer Balikbayan champions and 300 perfect score holder, ace Hashim Guinomla piloted the Malaysia Airlines team to dismantle the Dove team (4-1). Guinomla tallied a three game series scratch of 634 on lines of 210, 210 and 214. D. Cofreros burned the lanes to post 594 series while the prolific Luis T. Luna and Randy Mata seared the lanes to score a separate three game series scratch of 537 and 513, respectively. The Malaysia Airlines tallied an overall total team output of 2928 in three matches.

Danny "almond" de Guzman, fired a superb 558 three game series scratch to lead in the fancied Dove team. The ever-fading Jimmy "pro" Rosillo came-in next to De Guzman with a series of 538 in three matches and Edwin Ronquillo together with Amado Lanario shot a separate three game series scratch of 537 and 506. Ohmee "Lucila" Basa chipped-in a series of 402. The Dove pocketed an overall total team output of 2760 points.

The best team in uniform awardee, the Tetra Pak sealed a 4-1 victory against the Amigos 2 and showing the way in the Tetra Pak was Benjie Ovis with 600 series scratch in three outings. Sid "tisoy" Lapena and Rudy Punzalan dazzled to score a series of 591 and 574 in three matches while Carlos Masinsin added a series of 463.

For the Amigos 2 team keglers, leading scorer was Wilson Triguero with 509, followed by Joey Salvador (548), and Mat Abadier (520). Ed Karganilla and Danny Manriza submitted an identical three-game series scratch of 464.

On lanes 17 and 18, the Global Distribution walloped the powerhouse SkyFreight Forwarders (4-1). Powering the Global Distribution to overplayed the SkyFreight Forwarders came through the heroics of Dante Calapatia (627), Ariel Urquia (608), Jun Pilipina (603), Ver Luz (519) and Roger Abantas (489).

Hero Garcia and FTBJ President, Rally Zamora fired a separate three game series scratch of 578 and 575 to topscore in the SkyFreight Forwarders. The hard-hitting Rod Morales and the multititlist, Cris Villavelez toppled a series of 553 and 526 in three matches. Edu Toledo carded 489 series in three outings.

The Internet @ Kape defeated the Lux Power Bowlers on lanes 19 and 20 and at helm in the Internet @ Kape was Roger Daquioag who toppled a series of 667 in three games. Goying Salazar, Mar Narvasa and Ronald Mangua submitted a separate three-game series scratch of 573, 551 and 538. James Galvan rolled a series of 468.

The Big One Chocolates team sealed 5 points over the default team, the Butterfey Vhoiz. Adrian Abrenica led by posting a series of 535 while Johnny Estacio and Mel Yabut are to next to him with a series of 515 and 505. Algier Reganos and Liny Suriaga pinned-down a series of 480 and 422 in three games.
