JEDDAH, 8 February — Favorites Al-Ittihad entered the semifinals of the Crown Prince Cup by beating Shola club on a golden goal scored by Sami Shas in extra time yesterday.

The match ended 3-3 in normal time after a sensational game which was filled with many dramatic scenes.

Ittahadis dominated the field throughout the game with three goals in hand.

Extra time beckoned when the Shola boys came from the brink of defeat to level the tally before the final whistle.

On Wednesday, Al Ahli got the upper hand when they outmanuevered Al Ittifaq 1-0. Ibrahim Al Suwaidi was the lone scorer for Ahli.

Earlier, Al Nasr outclassed their crosstown rivals Al Shabab 2-1.

Ali Yazid opened the account for Nasr while Senegalese striker Kiyata made it 2-0 later. Brazilian Antonio scored the solitary goal for Shabab.
