JEDDAH, March 30 — Favorites Al Ittihad defeated Al Nasr 3-2 in the King’s Cup soccer match last night.

Al Nasr took the lead 1-0 through Cohelo Cesar, who converted a penalty in the first half. But Sergio scored the equalizer in the 22nd minute with a dramatic goal. His powerful hit was deflected into the goal by a Nasr defender, who tried to ward of the shot with his outstretched led. He then scored another equalizer after Faisal Saif had scored Nasr’s second goal in the second half.

Hasan Al-Yami then gave the fans something to cheer about with a sparkling goal that proved the match-winner.

In Riyadh, Al Ittifaq scored an equalizer during injury time to gain a 1-1 draw against Al Shabab at Prince Faisal ibn Fahd Stadium. Shabab led the first half with a Muhammad Al Humaidhy strike in the 13th minute. The equalizer was scored by Ittifaq’s striker Ali Al-Fehaid.

With yesterday’s draw Shabab are in ninth spot with 21 points while Ittifaq have 23 points.
