KARACHI, 1 May — Pakistan’s fast rising all-rounder Shoaib Malik tied the knot with Ayesha Khan in Saudi Arabia earlier this month. Ayesha comes from a Pakistani family based in Jeddah and will come to Pakistan in a few months. "Nikah was solemnized in Jeddah and my parents are happy at the Nikah," Malik told Arab News.

Malik, 20, made his mark in international cricket with a century in a one-day game against West Indies in Sharjah last month. He hit a career best 115 and took 3-37 in the final match against New Zealand in the ongoing series in Pakistan. Malik broke into international cricket as a 15-year-old and helped Pakistan finish runners-up in the Lombard’s Under-15 World Cup in England in 1996.
