JEDDAH, 3 May — Ultra Services scored over Jeddah Brotherhood 72-61 in JBL Friday Morning basketball tournament held in Bin Mafouz basketball court here in Al Hamra district besides Sands Hotel in Tahlia St. Jeddah. It was a ding-dong battle between the two ballclubs up to the third quarter. In the resumption of the fourth quarter, Ultra Services applied pressure defense and dominated the shaded area. Jeddah Brotherhood tried best but committed costly turnovers in the final last two minutes. Cardano attacked the shaded area and scored 20 points for Ultra Services while Salandanan top scores with 23 points for Jeddah Brotherhood.

In another game, Benihana Sixers registered their 2nd straight win against Osaka Restaurant 72-50. Osaka Restaurant playing their first tournament cannot find the right rhythm in the first 2 quarters of the game. Benihana Sixers showed Osaka Restaurant how to play with referees controlling the game with fine team works, passing the ball to the open man and accurate shootings. Osaka Restaurant re-group in the third quarter and managed to reduce the lead but lost their steam in the fourth quarter. Mike Valiao top scored with 24 points for Benihana Sixers.
