RIYADH, 24 May — Central Brothers of India, sponsored by Badruddin Polyclinic defeated Batha Federation Club sponsored by C.R.B. Health Center, Riyadh 1-0 on the 2nd match of the second annual football tournament of Nehru Samskarika Vedi (N.S.V.) for the Safa Makkah Polyclinic Rolling Trophy in a highly-contested and notable clash at ‘Bindayel’ floodlight stadium here.
The two archrivals of Indian Soccer teams from Riyadh, CBI & CRB struggled each other in an astonishing style to win the game. Mustafa scored the only winning goal for the CBI in the 1st half of the match and thereafter all the leading efforts of Jaleel, Bapputty, and N. K. Muneer are splintered before the stunning show of C.N. Abdul Jabbar Kuniyil, Thomas and Abbas; the defenders of the CRB.
Later, the superb show of the CRB. Health Center lead by Said Ali master, and the all attack and heavy shoots from Mujeeb Vazhakkad, Shabeer Ali and Babu are cracked down in front of the super performance of CBI goalkeeper Mujeeb under the bar.
Before the Match kick-off, The International Indian School Principal Mansar Jamal Siddiqui was introduced to the players along with M.T. Ashraf, Shakkeeb Kolakkaden, Ayoub Khan Vizhinjam, Shabeer Ali Ponnangathodi (Safa Makkah) etc.
The match was well supervised by Saudi referee Mandouh al Onaizi, Ashraf Vadekkevila and Ashraf Kolakkaden. There were special gifts for the spectators sponsored by Safa Makkah Poly Clinic. The next match will be between United Goans and Kerala Elevens.
