RIYADH, 24 May — Now in its 15th week full of action, Francis Guron and D’Alleygators bowling team captained by Rolly Manalang splashed separate deadly forms to emerge as the best bowler and best team of the weeks on the Monday “Paistaran” Regulated Bowling League organized by the Overseas Filipino Workers Bowlers of Riyadh (OFWBR) being played at the Riyadh Inter-Continental Hotel Bowling Centre.

Guron, playing with the Ang Ajax team snatched the best bowler of the week by carding a four-game series handicap of 809 on lines of 214, 187, 207 and 161.

Sharing bowling spotlight with Guron were the keglers of D’Alleygators who captured the best team of the week award by garnering 20 points when they defeated the Ang Ajax team who collected 13 points. Alleygators’ star of the day, Mon Nilo burned the lanes to topscore by carding a four-game series of 791. Aside from Nilo who submitted the best scores for Alleygators is the duo of Dante Prado and Clem Salazar who toppled a separate four-game series of 757 and 749. Rudy “Snooky” Flores sparkled to score a series of 529 in three games while Sonny Legaspi and Rolly Manalang contributed a series of 339 and 331 in two sets. Joe Concepcion added 165 in one game. Best bowler of the week, Francis Guron led in the Ang Ajax team by posting a four game series handicap of 809. The promising Yusuf Fernandez and AJ Bonifacio collected a separate four game series handicap of 720 and 702. Freddie Solomon and Fred Tejado had a separate series of 695 and 656 in four outings.

The TJ & Co. haulted the Fesscor (18-1) and leading scorers in the TJ & Co. captained by Louie Agtarap were Tony Jimenea (758), the famous Benjie Lorenzo (735), Benjie Domado (717), Jane Guiang (626) and Louie Agtarap (330).

At helm in the Fesscor squad were Art Capulong (689), Raylon Mar (629), Benjie Macatuno (616), Efren Pacion (590) and Beth Villanueva (436).

The Ultra team of Art Esguerra humiliated the Bros. Ltd. (17-5) and saw the triumvirate of Willie Pamilaran, Rey Dela and Beth Danganan sizzled to be on top by carding a separate four-game series of 792, 746 and 712. Jimmy Ocampo and Jun Jabonero added a separate four-game series of 683 and 660 in four matches. Cris Ibarra and Wilson Bacala led in D’Bros. Ltd by knocking down a series of 728 and 710. Ed Rodriguez and Arnold Bellen registered a series of 651 and 664 in four games while Sammy Sahagun downed a series of 535 in three sets.

The Mission X snatched 15 points over the Vision 2 to win the games and displaying impressive games in the Mission X team was Oca Bernabe who toppled a series of 735 in four matches. Coming-in next to Oca was Atoy Malubay (733), followed by Eden Bergonio (723), Reden Tulabut (708) and Ellen Bernabe (671).

For the Vision 2, on top was Ferdie Ramos with 777 series in four games. Alex Bandoy rolled 654 to follow Ramos. Mario Samson had 504 series in three sets while Ruben Diaz and Remy Pantaleon toppled a series of 418 and 367.

League leader, the KAMC team stayed strong on top when they demolished the Hunks (15-6). Vher Sahagun shot a four-game series of 697 to topscore in the KAMC. Danny Castro and Louie Fantone submitted a series of 535 and 530 while Mags Bongcarawan toppled 528. Jonas Gubatan, Francis Grace Gloria and Ted Gutierrez had a separate two game series of 379, 343 and 335.

Toffee San Jose and Rod Basilio led in the Hunks quintet by tallying a separate four game series of 725 and 705. Jomarie de Luna fired 649 pinfalls in four outings while Lito Junio had 530 points. Boy Mirando downed 489 pinfalls in three matches.
