RIYADH, 29 December 2002 — Prince Abdullah ibn Faisal, Governor of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA), inaugurated here yesterday a seminar on ‘Problems facing small and medium establishments.’ “The small and medium establishments (SMEs) provide a good opportunity for investment, and at the same time they play an important role in creating job opportunities for the national cadres”, he said. Prince Abdullah said the role of SAGIA in the development of the small and medium establishments was confined to preparation of suitable investment environment for attracting direct foreign investments that help these establishments. “Moreover, SAGIA plays a significant role in solving the problems that these establishments face in coordination with the concerned governmental sectors”, he added.. The seminar was organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Saudi Administration Society and the Arab Organization for Administrative Development. (SPA)
