BEIRUT, 8 January 2003 — Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri is to lead a large delegation of officials and businessmen for a two-day gathering on Jan. 26-27 in Riyadh meant to boost bilateral economic ties, organizers said yesterday. Hariri will be accompanied by government ministers, heads of trade chambers, banks and industry associations as well as contracting companies, hotels, travel agencies and hospitals union leaders, they said in a statement. More than 150 Lebanese businessmen, including many resident in Saudi Arabia, will also attend the gathering, organized by the Al-Iqtissad Wal-Aamal magazine, which is expected to attract a total of 400 people from both countries.
