MAKKAH, 15 January 2003 — An Asian expatriate committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree in the Khales district of Makkah, Al-Madinah newspaper reported yesterday.
A Saudi man called police after he saw the body hanging from the tree. The body was taken to the morgue at King Abdul Aziz Hospital in Makkah.
The dead man was in his thirties and had been suffering from depression. His relatives said that he had been talking about committing suicide “to put an end to his miserable life”.
