RIYADH, 28 January 2003 — The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) will host 320 pilgrims from Europe and North and South America who will perform Haj this year as guests of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd.
Speaking at a press conference here Sunday night, Dr. Saleh Al-Wohaibi, secretary-general of WAMY, said the contracts with Tawafa agencies for making all arrangements for the pilgrims were already signed. He said the first batch of pilgrims would arrive in Jeddah tomorrow. They represent 34 states from Europe and the Americas.
Abdullah Al-Mohaideeb, executive director of WAMY’s Haj program, said that since 1998, King Fahd had sponsored more than 3,000 pilgrims to perform Haj through WAMY. (Javid Hassan)
