RIYADH, 28 January 2003 — Prince Sultan ibn Salman, secretary-general of the Supreme Commission for Tourism, said he expected 45.3 million tourists to visit the Kingdom by 2020 and spend about SR80 billion. Addressing the Saudi-Lebanese Economic Forum here, he said the development of tourist sector required building of 50,000 new hotel rooms and 74,000 housing units and training of 1.5 million to 2.3 million Saudis to provide various tourist services.
