JEDDAH, 30 January 2003 — Civil Aviation Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain will head a 15-member Haj goodwill delegation from India for the upcoming Haj. The delegation includes Kerala Local Self Government Minister Cherkalam Abdullah; Members of Parliament Rashid Alvi of Uttar Pradesh and Abdul Rasheed Shaheen of Jammu and Kashmir, Peer Muhammad Hussain, MLA of Kashmir; Imtiaz Muhammad Khan, Javed Kazimi and Syed Kazim Zaheer of Uttar Pradesh; Muhammad Badruzzaman Khan and Muhammad Amin Ahmad of Jharkhand; Syed Shah Noorul Haq Quadri of Andhra Pradesh; Muhammad Yusuf of Madhya Pradesh; Syed Ashraf of New Delhi; and Habib Abbas Fakih of Maharashtra. Sawara Khatoon of Bihar is the only woman in the group. During their stay in the Kingdom, members of the delegation will perform the annual pilgrimage, visit the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah and call on various local dignitaries.
