RIYADH, 18 March 2003 — There is no big demand for gas masks in the Kingdom as a result of their high prices here in comparison to neighboring countries. More over, most people believe that Iraq does not pose a threat to the Kingdom. “The demand is very low,” Khaled ibn Sawad, owner of a safety equipment company, told Asharq Al-Awsat. “There were no requests from government departments although they had inquired about the prices and the varieties available,” he added.
