RIYADH, 4 May 2003 — Since the end of the war in Iraq and the lifting of travel bans to some Middle Eastern countries, a number of local travel agents have been contacted by foreign agencies who wish to organize tourist trips to the Kingdom. According to Al-Madinah, travel agencies in Jeddah, Riyadh and Madinah have received many requests from foreign agencies concerning reservations for French, German, Swedish and Japanese tourists. The first group is expected to arrive in October.
