ST. LOUIS, 27 November 2003 — Doug Weight scored with 41 seconds remaining in overtime after Keith Tkachuk tied the game with 29 seconds left in the third period, lifting the St. Louis Blues past the Boston Bruins 4-3 in the NHL on Tuesday.

Weight fired a shot from the face-off circle past Felix Potvin to give the Blues their fifth consecutive home win. St. Louis continued its dominance over Boston with the win and the Blues have now beaten the Bruins five straight times while losing just once in their last 11 meetings. Pavol Demitra and Mark Rycroft scored the other goals for the Blues, while Chris Osgood made 24 saves.

In Tampa, Jussi Markkanen made 36 saves for his second shutout of the season to lead the New York Rangers past the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0. Mark Messier scored his ninth goal of the season and 685th of his career for the Rangers, while Jed Ortmyer scored the other goal for New York.
