TORONTO, 9 December 2003 — Vince Carter poured in 30 points and rookie Chris Bosh added 22 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to guide the Toronto Raptors to a 108-98 win over the Seattle SuperSonics on Sunday, their fourth straight victory.

The Raptors (12-8) are now a season-best four games over .500 and have not lost since making a six-player deal with the Chicago Bulls a week ago.

Jalen Rose, who came to the Raptors in the deal along with Donyell Marshall and Lonny Baxter in exchange for Antonio Davis, Jerome Williams and Chris Jefferies, had 18 points and 10 assists Sunday.

The Raptors were the lowest-scoring team in the NBA before the deal but have increased their output dramatically since the new players arrived, going 4-0.

Morris Peterson did not score in the first three quarters for the Raptors but had four three-pointers in the final session.

Rashard Lewis and Vladimir Radmanovic both had 20 points for the Sonics, who have lost six of nine games.

Timberwolves 96 Clippers 94

In Los Angeles, Latrell Sprewell recorded 27 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves edged the Clippers 96-94. Sam Cassell added 24 points and 10 assists while Kevin Garnett chipped in with 24 points, including the basket at the final buzzer which secured a third victory in a row for the Timberwolves.

Grizzlies 93 Trail Blazers 79

In Memphis, Bonzi Wells picked up 16 points against his former team to help the Grizzlies to a 93-79 triumph over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Pau Gasol scored 17 points and pulled in 12 rebounds while Mike Miller also notched 17 points for the Grizzlies, who outscored Portland 24-11 in the fourth quarter to chalk up their fifth consecutive win.

Zach Randolph contributed a team-high 29 points and added 13 rebounds for Portland, which lost for the first time in four games.

Celtics 116 Nuggets 111

In Denver, Paul Pierce amassed 33 points and 10 assists as the Boston Celtics snapped a four-game losing skid with a 116-111 victory over the Nuggets. Eric Williams captured 21 points and Jiri Welsch 19 for the Celtics, who outscored Denver 32-21 in the first quarter. Rodney White had 23 points for Denver while Voshon Lenard added 20 and Carmelo Anthony 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Kings 91 Pacers 88

In Sacramento, Brad Miller landed his second triple-double of the season with 18 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists as the Kings squeezed by the Indiana Pacers 91-88. Vlade Divac added 12 points and 10 rebounds while Peja Stojakovic recorded a team-high 27 points to give the Kings their ninth win in 10 games.

Lakers 94 Jazz 92

In Los Angeles, Devean George notched 16 points, including a game-winning three-pointer with 27 seconds left, to hand the Lakers a 94-92 triumph over the Utah Jazz.

Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant both had 19 points and O’Neal added 15 rebounds for the Lakers, who stretched their winning streak to nine games.
