PHILADELPHIA, 15 December 2003 — Martin Brodeur posted his seventh shutout of the season as the New Jersey Devils handed Philadelphia Flyers their first home loss with a 2-0 victory on Saturday.
The Devils are now unbeaten in five games, including Friday’s 3-3 tie with the Flyers in New Jersey, and they have cut Philadelphia’s lead in the Atlantic Division to four points. Brodeur made 32 saves for his 71st career shutout. Grant Marshall and Michael Rupp scored the goals for the Devils, who managed just one shot on goal in the scoreless first period.
