JEDDAH, 19 December 2003 — Saudi Arabia is hosting a Formula 1 Race car in the Kingdom under the sponsorship of Red Bull.

The car’s tour, which will continue for 38 days, will be in Jeddah from Sunday to Jan. 2. It will tour the Jeddah Exhibition and Convention Center, Heraa International Shopping Center, King Abdul Aziz University, Danube Supermarket at Tahlia Road, and the Jeddah Bowling World Center.

From Jan. 5 to 16, the car will be in Riyadh, touring Al-Faisaliah Center, Imam University, King Saud University, Kingdom’s Center and Arabah Petroleum Station. Its next venue will be in Alkhobar from Jan. 18 to 30, which will include King Fahd University, Rashid Shopping Mall, Giant Stores in Raka, King Faisal University and Al-Waha Shopping Center. Meanwhile, the Arab World is preparing to host Formula One 1st international race in Bahrain in May 2004. Participants of the event will include a team sponsored by Red Bull.

“Red Bull is presenting a Formula 1 car in the Kingdom to give an opportunity to Saudis to acquaint themselves with the car,” Bassam Al-Zein, local communications manager of Red Bull, said.
