JEDDAH, 12 February 2005 — Dr. Nahed Taher, senior strategy economist at the National Commercial Bank (NCB), presented a workshop under the title “Economic Variation Strategy and Investment Opportunities in the Kingdom” at the seven nations’ industrial convention held here last week.
Dr. Taher highlighted the Saudi financial sector’s performance, explaining the latest developments and the transparency which the sector is achieving.
Dr. Taher also included in her presentation the Saudi banking sector’s adoption of clear plans to implement international measures and Puzzle 2 suggestions which are related to banking performance and decrease in credit risk.
Representatives of international banks and financial institutions of various Arab countries in the Middle East participated in the convention.
Participants regarded the economic variation strategy which the Kingdom follows and which offers many investment options, to be of added value to the Saudi market, especially since it is in the evolving industrial area, infrastructure projects and information technology.
