GENEVA, 19 February 2005 — The board of trustees of the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) held a meeting here in the presence of Prince Abdul Aziz ibn Ahmed, head of the agency’s Middle East regional office, and discussed strategic programs to prevent blindness. The meeting also discussed a joint initiative by the World Health Organization and IAPB to eliminate avoidable blindness in IAPB member states.
