WASHINGTON, 20 February 2005 — The US Defense Department awarded a Kuwaiti state company a $3.2 billion contract Friday to supply US military forces in Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Public Warehousing Co., state of Kuwait, is being awarded a maximum amount of $3,2 billion firm fixed price indefinite quantity contract for subsistence items for the US Army, US Navy, US Air Force and US Marine Corps located in Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, and Afghanistan,” the Pentagon said in a statement.
