BEIRUT, 1 March 2005 — Controversial Jad Choueiri, who swept the Arab world by storm with his first hit “Aqoolak Eeh” (What Do I Tell You) for which he also wrote and composed the lyrics, is now finishing his first album. The release date is expected to be this April.
Choueiri is still getting phone calls from all over the world on the number that he showed on his first hit. His website claims that he broke the record in the number of missed calls that never stops from multiplying. he is a successful singer, lyricist, composer and also director.
He has directed several video clips, which caused many an eyebrow to rise once they were released. He has often said that he is not deflated by the criticism that he gets on his “explicit” work; on the contrary it prods him to produce more work.
On the other hand, Tina who was discovered by Choueiri is now finishing her second video clip. It is to be shot by Choueiri early next month.
Tina will be revealing her face for the first time in this new clip. On her first appearance, Choueiri who directed her video clip insisted on covering Tina’s eyes with a mask. This attracted more attention to Tina and to her clip, which was described by critics as “crossing borderlines.” Tina’s new song is composed by Choueiri.
