JEDDAH, 8 March 2005 — The Jeddah chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, which has completed 15 years of its existence, held its annual party to honor the commerce toppers of Indian International School-Jeddah, recently. Indian Consul General Dr. Ausaf Sayeed distributed the prizes to toppers.

In the girls section, Ambreen Banu received the accolade for her best performance (80.8 percent) and Azminah Yakoob for securing highest marks in accountancy (69 percent). In the boys section, Rameez Anwar was awarded for best performance (84.8 percent) as well as securing highest marks in accountancy (92 percent).

Sixty prizes were presented to winners of a raffle draw. The grand prize of two Jeddah-Bombay roundtrip air ticket presented by E.A. Juffali & Bros. was won by Ashfaque Ahmed. Air-India’s roundtrip ticket went to V. Ganesan and Gulf Air’s ticket to Binu Puthan. Anthony Veliyil won Qatar Airways’ Jeddah-Bombay roundtrip ticket. Prizes from other sponsors were also presented.
