JEDDAH, 9 March 2005 — Putting up a business is everybody’s business. But keeping it effective and successful is the business of the Global Pinoy Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises group.
Launched recently by Kongreso ng Kapulungan ng mga Samahang Pilipino (Kasapi), the Global Pinoy will hold its second reintegration business program on Friday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the social hall of the International Philippine School in Jeddah.
The objective of the program is to promote the welfare and development of overseas Filipinos who plan to set up their businesses when they to go back to the Philippines “for good.”
Global Pinoy is well known for training Filipinos in Hong Kong in setting up small- and medium-scale businesses.
The group is registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission with certificate number 200413688.
“This is a unique program in ensuring the successful reintegration of every OFW,” said Kasapi Chairman Rudy Dianalan. “You don’t have to start business blindly. You need to be trained in order to succeed and that’s where Global Pinoy can help.”
Global Pinoy’s three-part program will assist participants from the planning to operational stages of any specific business venture they choose.
An overseas worker and his or her trusted dependent in the Philippines will be trained from among the hundreds of training modules on entrepreneurship on offer.
These include simple bookkeeping, livelihood video programs, trade fairs/mission, computer/IT and electronic courses, business skills management; fashion/arts and crafts; agricultural/aquatic program; food technology, culinary arts, among others.
